Mazda CX-50 Trim Levels
You can get the 2023 Mazda CX-50 in nine trim levels. Most have been released already, with the rest expected to be available in the fall of 2022. Even the base trim level, the 2.5 S, comes well-appointed with features you’re sure to enjoy. You can also choose from the 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Preferred Plus, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 S Premium Plus, 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.
Each of these trim levels offers ample cargo space, exciting performance, and surprisingly luxurious interior finishes. Whether you’re interested in the 2.5 S with classic Mazda style and off-road capability or the 2.5 S Premium with additional interior upgrades, the CX-50 is a good fit for any driver.
Highly Capable Performance
A series of highly capable performance and engine features help make the all-new CX-50 a true thrill to drive. Standard is a SKYACTIV-G 2.5 four-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation, variable valve timing, and platinum-tipped spark plugs. This engine pairs with a SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. You’ll get up to an impressive EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway and 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
A SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter engine with a twin-scroll turbo delivers 227 horsepower on the Turbo Premium and the Turbo Premium Plus. The i-ACTIV all-wheel drive and the Mazda intelligent drive (Mi-Drive) select system with sport and off-road modes will better handle different road conditions. Additional performance and engine options include dynamic stability control with a traction control system, hill launch assist, and a 2,000-pound maximum towing capacity.
Bold Exterior Design
The eye-catching exterior design is bold enough to capture attention while keeping it functional for you as a driver. Standard features include bright LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, high beam control, and an automatic on/off feature. The automatic rain-sensing wipers allow you to concentrate on the road in inclement weather. Additional exterior features include a standard body-color rear roof spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and an AWD badge.
Wheels vary by trim level and include 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels in Gray Metallic on the 2.5 S, 17-inch Black Metallic alloy wheels on the 2.5 S Select, and 20-inch Black Metallic and machine cut finish wheels on the 2.5 Turbo Premium. You can also choose from standard paint colors such as Ingot Blue Metallic and Jet Black Mica. Available exterior color options include Wind Chill Pearl, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, and Polymetal Gray Metallic, depending on which trim level you prefer.
With the base model CX-50 2.5 S, you’ll find standard features such as a convenient push-button start, a remote fuel door release, and power windows. You’ll also get an 8.8-inch touch-screen display infotainment system, a spacious center console with covered storage, and a rear center armrest. Cloth-trimmed seats with a five-passenger seating capacity make it easy for everyone to sit back and relax. A 60/40 split fold-down rear seat makes it easy to load larger items if you need additional cargo space.
If you opt for the 2.5 Preferred, you get additional features such as dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats with half leatherette-trimmed seats. The luxurious 2.5 S Premium comes with a power sliding glass panoramic moonroof with one-touch open, leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and all the features mentioned above. The top-of-the-line 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus will get you a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats, as well as an active driving display and the option for Terracotta or Black Leather.
Designed to improve your driving experience and enhance your journey, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 comes with the latest entertainment and connectivity features. Apple CarPlay integration will allow you to connect to access your favorite apps, check calls and messages, play your top playlist, and load your Maps app for navigation. With the onboard Wi-Fi, you and your passengers will be able to connect and check out the weather, stream from your favorite apps, play games, and more when not behind the wheel. A wireless charging pad will allow you to keep your phone at 100% all day.
