Mazda offers the CX-9 in five distinctive trims. The entry-level Touring trim starts at an MSRP of $38,750 and comes nicely equipped with a 250-horsepower engine, leather-trimmed seats, and the built-in connectivity features you need. Moving up to the Touring Plus adds signature exterior style and convenience with more interior amenities for a $41,500 MSRP before available options.

The Carbon Edition stands out in the middle of the lineup. At an MSRP of $44,780, you get distinctive Carbon Metal Gray exterior paint, blackout outside trim, and a trim-exclusive interior design. In addition, Mazda includes more cutting-edge technology to keep you safe with the Grand Touring model for a $45,640 MSRP. Finally, the top-tier Mazda CX-9 Signature trim delivers the premium comfort you expect from a luxury SUV with the capability you demand. The Signature trim starts at an MSRP of $48,460 before package options.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Touring Trim

The LED lighting system of the CX-9 Touring trim includes automatic headlights with height control, daytime running lights, combination taillights, and fog lamps. The body-colored power outside mirrors heat and features integrated turn-signal indicators. The signature front grille’s Bright finish contrasts perfectly with the black molding on the front, side, and rear. The Touring rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels, and its dual exhaust ports and body-color, roof-mounted rear spoiler complete the bold exterior style. And the power rear liftgate features programmable height adjustment.

The Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry and Start system gets you inside and started with the key fob on your person. Once inside, you’ll enjoy the tri-zone climate control system, power windows and doors, and the power-sliding moonroof. Six passengers fit comfortably with the standard second-row captain’s chairs with a center walk-through. Leather-trimmed seats come standard and the first and second row heat for comfort. And to add a more refined touch, the Touring boasts a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

All your in-vehicle tech runs through the 10.25-inch touch screen. Built-in Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth technology enable hands-free cellphone operations. And a wireless phone charger and two USB ports in the front and rear keep all your devices charged and connected.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Touring Plus Trim

The CX-9 Touring Plus model has all the features on the Touring trim, plus a few notable upgrades. First, you get a Gloss Black grille, aluminum roof rails in a Satin Chrome finish, and 20-inch alloy wheels on the outside.

Inside additions include a second-row center armrest with integrated cup holders and two USB ports. Or you can opt for a second-row bench seat to bring your seating capacity to seven at no additional charge. The 60/40 split-folding, second-row bench reclines for comfort and tilts for easy access to the third row. You also get ventilated front seats in the Touring Plus.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Carbon Edition Trim

Mazda’s CX-9 Carbon Edition features stylish 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior accents, and Polymetal Gray Metallic exterior paint, delivering a signature style. In addition, the Carbon Edition has an adaptive front lighting system that angles the headlights to either side while cornering to expand your field of vision. Side mirrors on the Carbon Edition come in black and power fold automatically for convenience.

The Carbon Edition’s interior boasts aluminum appliques, overhead LED accent lighting, and a 7-inch LCD instrument panel that displays your essential driving data. In addition, you have a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters and trim-exclusive leather seats with red stitching that heat and ventilate for comfort. Your sound system upgrades to a Bose Centerpoint Premium Sound System with AudioPilot and 12 speakers. Also included is a free trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring Trim

Exterior features on the CX-9 Grand Touring trim includes body-color outside mirrors that power fold automatically, a Bright finish front grille, and chrome exterior trim. Inside, you’ll find the same premium features as the Carbon Edition but with slight variations. For example, premium leather seats heat in the first two rows, and the front row also has ventilation. The infotainment system adds Mazda Navigation. Plus, you get a three-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link to inform you of current traffic, weather, sports, nearby parking, and fuel prices.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Signature Trim

Mazda’s top CX-9 Signature trim has all the Grand Touring features plus a few add-ons, such as a Titanium Gray Metallic front grille with LED accent lighting and a hands-free power liftgate. Genuine Santos Rosewood inlays surround the shifter and door switch gear, adding a refined style. Nappa leather with signature stitching wraps the steering wheel, and quilted piping on the Nappa leather seats with heating and ventilation elevate your comfort.

2023 Mazda CX-9 Performance

Mazda engineered every CX-9 to perform. A SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission provide 250 horsepower, 320 lb-ft of torque, and a 3,500-pound tow rating. In addition, the CX-9 lineup comes standard with i-ACTIV all-wheel drive with Off-Road Traction Assist for superior traction and control over various road surfaces and weather conditions.

You also get a suite of driver-assist systems in every CX-90.
