For example, the MyMazda App connects you to your vehicle in ways you never thought possible. This revolutionary tech has changed how drivers communicate with their cars and the outside world. To help you understand this powerful tool, we asked our tech experts to compile a list of its features and how to use them.

What is the MyMazda App?

Drivers can download the MyMazda App to their compatible smartphones and use this technology anywhere. The app provides real-time vehicle information and enables remote operations in a simple, intuitive program. Using the MyMazda App makes your ownership experience more convenient than ever. You can find dealerships, schedule service, request roadside assistance, and more.

You can find the app on the MyMazda website or download it free from the Apple App store or Google Play store. The app requires your phone to run on IOS 11 or above or Android 6.0 Marshmallow or above. Once you download the app, you can log in to your existing account or create a new account.

Click the Register button to create a new account and enter your personal information. Then, scroll down to enter your account information and hit the Next button. Now you can add a vehicle and enter your vehicle information. Start by naming your car and then enter or scan the vehicle identification number to populate your car’s year and model. Next, enter your vehicle’s current mileage, driving habits, and driving conditions. This information helps the MyMazda App track and alert you to routine maintenance needs.

Now we recommend you select a dealer. First, you can search for dealerships in the area. Selecting a dealership helps you quickly find your dealer’s contact information. You can easily schedule service through the app, view current service specials, and route your navigation system to the dealership. Once you’ve selected your dealership, hit the Submit button, and you’re done. Welcome to the MyMazda App.

Using the App for the First Time

We recommend you complete the onboarding process before using the app for the first time. The onboarding process contains a series of helpful teaching videos. They’ll instruct you on how to take full advantage of the app. Select the Discover button, and a list of topics appears. Select a topic to watch videos tailored to your Mazda’s specific features. These videos will teach you how to use and care for your car today, tomorrow and for years to come.

Navigating the MyMazda App Home Screen

The home screen has all the tools you need to manage your Mazda. You can push the Dealer Map button to find the nearest Mazda dealership. You’ll find this a convenient feature when traveling and needing service. Notifications appear at the bottom of your home screen. They provide critical information about your Mazda, including recalls and maintenance alerts.

Pushing the Service button at the bottom of the screen opens up your Mazda’s upcoming service milestones. These range from your next oil change and tire rotation to more detailed maintenance requirements. You’ll be able to schedule service from the app using the Schedule button at the bottom of your screen. The Guides button at the bottom contains helpful videos from the onboarding process.

A Menu icon at the top right corner of your home screen accesses various features and functions. From the Menu, you can select Profile and view or edit your personal information. The MyMazda option from the menu lets you access vital vehicle information. These include service schedules, searching for recalls, finding a dealership, and more.

You can also request 24/7 roadside assistance from the menu in two ways. First, tap the Call Roadside Assistance button to connect with Mazda’s Roadside Assistance support staff immediately. Or, select the Request Roadside Assistance button and begin the process using the app. Once you’ve initiated a roadside assistance request, you can follow up on your request to see when help will arrive.

A Support section in the menu has various quick links to get you answers fast and connect with the right people for any issues you might have with your Mazda. You can also get information about using the Mazda Connect infotainment system and SiriusXM subscription services, update your maps, access warranty information, look up and order parts, and access frequently asked questions.

Mazda Connected Services on the MyMazda App

Every new Mazda comes with a three-year complimentary subscription to Mazda Connected Services. This is a suite of systems for remote operations with the MyMazda App. Some of the Mazda Connected Services you can enjoy include:

• Start or stop your Mazda from anywhere.
• Lock or unlock your car’s doors remotely.
• Check vehicle systems, such as fuel levels, from your smartphone.
• Find your vehicle using GPS locating.
• Receive automatic vehicle service alerts.
• Activate in-vehicle Wi-Fi services.
